Highly detailed, virtually down to the last iota, this is the first in the series which describes the complete airhead 'two valve' model range, which started with the launch of the /5 models at then end of 1969. It lasted until 1996 when the last R80GS basic left the assembly line at Berlin-Spandau. Every model is characterised elaborately, and the designers and engineers, the people who created the machines, tell their stories. Every colour and variant is listed, together with modifications made throughout the different series.
