ENA37252: Engine upgrade kit

Designed by a German tuning specialist to upgrade any 800cc boxer (and R75/7) to 1000cc without the need to change or modify cylinder heads, carburettors and exhausts. This kit consists of two nickasil plated alloy cylinders, two graphite forged, light-weight pistons (each weight reduced by approx 140g), the corresponding sets of piston rings and gudgeon pins. They are designed for straightforward installation in about two hours. Benefits include an increase in power from 50 to 60hp with the R80GS or 64hp for the on road models (Using standard BMW 1000cc barrels and pistons with 800cc heads can result in a decrease in engine power output!) In addition to increased power outputs the kits reduce emissions and fuel consumption and produce a much smoother spread of useable torque thoughout the rev range. Compression ratio 9.5:1.

ENA37253 Lightweight piston conversion

From the same manufacturer we now stock these barrel and piston sets providing an increase in power and torque for any of the 1000cc boxer models. Ideally suited to the later paralever models, this easily fitted kit gives a power output of up to 67hp. The forged pistons are 130g lighter than the original pistons and run a compression ratio of 9.5:1
