The best way of reducing valve train rattle on the early two valve boxers is to fit the parts from post 1985 twins. This retrofit kit of genuine BMW parts comprises four complete replacement rocker arm assemblies. A quieter action is achieved by shim adjusted clearance of end float and a nylon bush. A full set of shims (shown inside the clear plastic bags in the picture) is provided to allow accurate setting up. Further noise reduction is achieved by fitting the anti resonance rubbers, provided in the kit, between the cylinder head fins.
The kit will NOT fit bikes produced before 09/1975 (/5 and early /6) without cylinder head modification.
