This disc replaces the original (now discontinued) BMW disc with removeable bobbins and oval mounting holes, as per BRA70939.
For R1200 and F800 models, each disc is attached to the wheel with 5 x mount bobbin BRA35745, 5 x wave washer BRA14888, and 5 x screw BRA32329. You can retrofit these discs to bikes from 2008, replacing the BMW 'rivet pack' discs, i.e. the ones with permanently attached mounting bobbins. To do this, you will need all of the above fittings, plus 4 x washer set BRA97387 to space the disc out from the wheel and centre it in the caliper.
These EBC Pro-lite Replacement Rotors offer higher (18% extra) braking power over stainless steel discs. The fully floating design reduces un-sprung weight, eliminates rotor distortion and extends pad life. It is good practice to fit new pads when fitting a new disc. EBC discs have been designed to be used with matching EBC brake pads and these must be used or the warranty will be invalidated.
