These only apply if you are retrofitting a later type main stand, as per FRA01593, to a bike with fittings for the (no longer available) original stand fitted between 09/1980 and 01/1982. There are two of these fitted to the loops on the middle of the later centre stand. These facilitate use of the 97mm centre stand springs FRA36282 with the spring hanger brackets 46521238329. Alternatively, do away with the spring hanger brackets and the hooks, and use the 143mm springs FRA01583, fitted directly to the loops on the stand and the brazed on hangers on the inside of the lower frame rails.
