This is a contactless ignition system coversion kit which includes a high power ignition coil for pre-1970 models.
Included in the kit:
- 1x ignition module with ignition coil
- 1x transmitter rotor
- 1x seal-ring
- 2x screws
- 2x ignition cable sleeve
- 2x grommets for ignition cable
- 1x allen key
- 1x mounting instruction
- 1x mounting instruction
Maintenance free, once adjusted you can forget it!
The original equipment advancer unit, breaker contact, condenser and old ignition coil are no longer necessary.
Please note - If your original mechanical voltage regulator is still fitted, you must use this kit with the electronic resistor, part number ELA01021, to replace the original field resistor. However, we suggest replacing the original mechanical voltage regulator instead as this part is 50 years old and potentially could not be working correctly. Please see item ELA30026 for an electronic regulator.
Please note - this is not usable for the R68 and R69 models.
