This is for models produced from 09/1975, with 99mm crankcase opening and 18mm diameter pushrod tubes. Supplied with stainless steel pushrod tubes fitted.
A top end gasket set is also supplied with this kit, excluding the barrel base O-ring as this is not used in the upgrade kit. You can fit ENA19125 or use OIA62376 instead.
They are designed for straightforward installation in about two hours. Benefits include an increase in power from 49.3 to 63.1hp for the R80 models (using standard BMW 1000cc barrels and pistons with 800cc heads can result in a decrease in engine power output!)
In addition to increased power outputs, the kit reduces emissions and fuel consumption and increases torque from the original 57Nm to 72Nm, and produces a much smoother spread of useable torque throughout the rev range. More details available on request. Compression ratio 9.5:1.
The Bosch spark plug WR6DC is required for this conversion; see SIA38145A ( please order separately )
