This fits the "T" shaped selector shaft, and uses M6 bolts to mount it. This one has a 300mm wire attached, and replaces the earlier item which had no wire. BMW service instructions refer to the cable for bikes where the original switch didn't have one by saying 'bind back the excess length by making a loop', i.e. cable tie the excess wire out of the way.
