This seal has an outer diameter of 26mm, and is for a shaft of 16mm diameter. It was fitted to 5 speed gearboxes from 09/1974 onwards (and also to some pre 1955 twins).
This is an upgraded seal made from Viton, which has an outer lip to keep the dirt out as well as an inner lip to keep the oil in, as standard single lip seals are prone to failure.
If you have one of the very rare 5 speed boxes made before 09/1974 with a 24mm diameter seal, please use GEA51156A.
