MV Motorrad Technik have succeeded in manufacturing a handlebar adjuster kit which fits virtually all bikes with 22mm tubular handlebars - historically the standard size for BMW bikes.
Tubular handlebars have existed since the beginning of mass produced motorcycles. So have different arm lengths. There are only a few lucky riders among us who sit on a bike and say 'that's perfect'. Quite a lot of us would like to have the bars a little bit closer or perhaps a little bit higher. Many riders have endured back and neck problems after prolonged riding caused by an overstretched riding position. This could be the answer! The kit moves the handlebars 70 mm. How you adjust them is up to you! Within only 2 minutes the handlebar is easily adapted to the kind of riding you intend. Now you can enjoy riding with a high handlebar position for long motorway journeys, or a low handlebar position for sporty riding on twisty roads.
For the models listed, the brake, throttle and clutch hoses/cables are long enough. It may be easier to route some or all of them behind the top yoke, instead of in front. Pay close attention that the lines are not stretched or pinched! The kit may fit other models that have not been listed too, but you may need to fit longer control hoses/cables to facilitate this. The adapter kit is shipped with German TÜV approval, so there should be no concerns about the product's safety. Please note that, depending how you position your bars, the adapters may conflict with your tank bag (if fitted). N.B. all MV accessories have been assembled and tested on original, unmodified motorcycles.
