This item replaces the ignition amplifier fitted to BMW R series models from 09/1980. The original BMW item has now been replaced by ELA44477, which has an integrated heatsink, with slightly different dimensions to the original. Due to these dimensions, and the brackets BMW provide, the replacement item will not fit BMW twin shock models in the original position (on top of the aluminium front brake line splitter underneath the front of the fuel tank).
This item, however, will directly replace the original.
Please note; you will need to re-use your original aluminium heat sink when fitting this item. Carefully remove all traces of the original thermal paste from the heat sink, and replace it with new - see ELA12142.| Weight | 0.048000 |
