Lower windscreen brackets
These nicely made windshield brackets are designed to replace the original BMW brackets which are notoriously fragile, particularly when combined with a larger windshield which applies more force to the brackets.
These aftermarket brackets are mirror polished stainless steel, CNC cut and TIG welded and as such are a lot stronger than the original items. They also include the rod.
Fitment notes:
You need to remove the side upper fairings and the windshield. You will need to get to the mounting frame, taking pictures of every step. You will use those images upon reinstalling, because these need to be indexed correctly relative to the actuating motor. You will notice that the motor has more than 2 wires, the limiting switches are inside the reductor, so that they cut off the motor power on the travel ends. Please make sure that you cycle trough the raise/lower position prior to packing the fairing back up on the bike. If you feel resistance, it means that the hex was not indexed correctly and needs re-fitting.
